Tom La Bonge is the center of activities at the opening ceremony of the Griffith Park Adult Community Center in 2008. He was responsible for initiating the idea of a dedicated facility for older adults on the parking lot of Friendship Auditorium and collaborated with Recreation and Parks to secure funding for the the facilities.
