Lights out? VOTE NO!

Seriously?! We are being asked to approve a property assessment to help cover the cost of the getting our City's street lights to work?
We pay taxes and very expensive water and power bills for that very reason. Are we to believe that this “assessment” will fade away in the near future? Once an assessment is approved, it will likely become permanent. SLT does not support this assessment and asks that all property owning Angelenos vote “no”. Instead, maybe the City should give those of us who, at our own expense, installed solar lights on street poles to provide much needed light, a rebate? Or, just like the City did years ago during the drought when water saving shower heads were provided for “free,” the Bureau of Street Services, should provide free solar powered light fixtures for those willing to install them on light poles or on street-facing walls.
