Lingering RV

For several months, an RV has been stored on Armstrong and then on W. Silver Lake Drive. Residents brought their concerns to SLT. One homeowner complained that the second hand weed smoking, wafting from the RV and into home windows, was impacting the health of one of their children. SLT reached out to SLO Ramirez for assistance.
Finally, in August, the LAPD placed a citation on the vehicle due to expired tags. It took weeks for the RV owner to adhere to the law, and move from W. Silver Lake Dr. But the celebration was brief. He’s moved back to Armstrong, parking the RV so poorly that a portion of the rear is obstructing northbound traffic. SLO Ramirez has reached out to CD4 for assistance.
At the time of this story, SLT was told the owner of the RV has “promised” to move his vehicle on Saturday, October 4th. Where he plans to park it, is a mystery. It’s been a ridiculous game of "Whack A Mole", wasting the LAPD’s time and creating a constant burden for residents.
Why did it take almost 4 months to deal with these issues? Why are CD4 and CD13 so slow in responding to Silver Lake residents regarding public safety issues? Why are we continually disappointed by our elected representatives?
