Meadow Signs are Printed and Ready to Install

Updated: Nov 30, 2022

Good news! After months of discussion, including a Silver Lake Together (SLT) virtual community meeting and private meetings with members of SLT and city representatives, new signage will be posted at the Meadow within the next couple of weeks. The signs clearly list which activities are prohibited in the Meadow, including amplified sound,

camping, organized events, etc. The signs were a long time coming, and we thank Silver Lake residents, elected representatives, our partners at LAPD’s Northeast Division, Rec and Parks, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the city attorney’s office

for working together to find a realistic solution to community concerns. We would

especially like to thank Silver Lake Rec Center Director Gordon Dupree for working

tirelessly to have the signs printed. We will continue to provide updates on the installation

of the signs. SLT is asking that the signs be corrected to show that Silver Lake is two

words.
