RV Whack-A-Mole Continues...

Silver Lake Together has received multiple questions, concerns, and calls for help with regard to a particular RV, whose owner has been using our residential streets as his personal storage facility for over a year. Residents are not pleased having this large and unsightly vehicle parked in front of their homes, for days at a time. For the last couple of months, the RV owner, after discovery of a few parking enforcement loopholes, has placed a message board in one of the windows, informing home owners what day the vehicle was parked in front of their home, and that the RV will be moved in 72 hours (photo below). Sadly, the owner has not be consistent with that assurance. Although the RV's tags expired over 6 months ago and the vehicle has been tagged by the city, apparently nothing more can be done. Unfortunately a ruling, recently made by a L.A. judge, halted the removal of RV’s valued at $500.00 or more from public or private streets, regardless of any disruptions brought upon the community. This ridiculous game of “whack a mole” continues."
