On Monday, January 19th, 2026, at approximately 11:30 AM, the Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Division, Patrol Officers responded to a radio call regarding a female trespassing at an apartment complex near the 2600 Block of Glendale Blvd.

Upon the Officers arrival, Officers were notified by paramedics at scene that sadly the female was pronounced deceased. A subsequent investigation conducted by Central Homicide Detectives and the Coroner's Office concluded that the victim had been murdered. While her identity has been confirmed, Detectives have chosen not to release her name at this time. It is believed that both the victim and any potential suspects are experiencing homelessness.

Detectives continue to investigate the matter and are engaging with community members for further information. Further updates will be provided as more details emerge by Homicide Division.
