Tony Michaelis, Silver Lake resident and Streets LA (BSS) Advisory Council member, is sharing valuable information about upcoming city projects with readers of Silver Lake Together. First up: due to COVID-19 financial restraints, Streets LA is modifying its street sweeping program, moving from weekly sweepings to every other week. Effective March 1, residents can sign up to get email notification of when streets will be swept. Notifications will be sent 24 to 48 hours in advance, giving residents a chance to move their cars. While many streets in Silver Lake are residential and not swept often, the new guidelines also apply to surrounding throughfares and communities. Tony will use his experience to advocate to bring more city services to Silver Lake and provide up-to-date information to our community.
