The Los Angeles Police Department is working closely with its partners, residents and LA Fire Department arson investigators in identifying all suspicious fires reported for the month of April and May in Silver Lake and other northeast communities. One suspected arsonist was arrested on June 1, released hours later, and re-arrested again on June 2 after citizens observed him setting fires again. He is currently in custody without any bail pending court hearings. A second suspected arsonist is still at large.
