David Haub’s photograph of a Los Angeles County helicopter taking on water at the Silver Lake Reservoirs is just one example of his talent.
On Wednesday, September 28, David Haub, age 67, of Los Feliz passed away unexpectedly. He is survived by his daughter Brandi, son-in-law Gret, and his beloved grandsons Garrett, Gavin, and Grant. David was known for his photography of wildlife and nature, and his unique ability to turn heated conversations about coyotes on Next Door into learning opportunities. He was also a private driver and the outpouring of sympathy and love on social media after his passing demonstrates that his passengers became friends who trusted David without reservation.

Silver Lake Together will miss David and his visual reminders that the living creatures that live in our communities are our neighbors — and our responsibility.
