Update on 2800 Glendale

The infamous, abandoned project at 2800 Glendale has until mid June to clean itself up - or fines and revocation of existing building permit proceedings begin.

The owner should, at the very least, remove trash, graffiti, and make it less of an eyesore.

Council District 4 referred the matter to the City's Inspection Bureau in late March, and notice was recently posted on the project site. The process is slow, but CD4 has been actively pursuing a remedy for this eyesore. The City does not have a very good process for dealing with rare situations such as this, as Ms. Jaegaer admitted. Reform is needed for situations like this, as they should not be allowed to fester and harm our neighborhoods.
